Since I don’t ever want to have a product “out of stock” or not available in a desired colour or size, I decided to work with a few POD shops… Currently I have shops on Redbubble, Design by Humans, Teepublic, Threadless, Live Heroes and Displate!
You can find a lot of cool shirts, phone cases, art prints, stickers and mugs here. There are so many styles of shirts offered on DBH!
I own a few shirts from Design by Humans, and I love them! They’re so comfortable and the print is very good. These guys also do a lot to promote artists they work with, so join their mailing lists to get to know more about the Humans that design your shirts and to get fresh news about all sorts of sales and discounts!
My RedBubble store is my first “serious” print on demand store. You can find a lot of cool products with my designs on here, not just shirts, but also bags, stationary, wall art, even bedding! I own a few RB tees, and I must say, I’m impressed with the quality and very fast shipping!
Pro tip: If you join RedBubble community as a member, you get to feel very special because you’ll get member only discounts. Also, join their mailing list to be in the know!
TeePublic is probably best known in the POD world for its insane discounts! Every time I upload a design there, it goes on sale for 3 days, and that is the perfect time to get yourself a $13 von Kowen t-shirt!
There are also flash sales that happen often there – and they are usually 35% off everything, so that’s a great deal!
I think my artwork looks best on shirts, but I couldn’t pass a chance to be on Displate! Displate is a magnet-mounted metal print. It’s durable, it’s steel. And you don’t need any power tools to hang it.
I mean, von Kowen art printed on metal! How cool is that?!?
Threadless recently made Artist Shops, and I have one too! I am mostly interested in taking part in their competitions, but it makes me very happy that people who use Threadless can buy my designs even if they’re not competition winners!
Anyway, there are some weird products there, like skateboards and shower curtains, but it’s kinda cool! I can also design shoes and backpacks there, but it’s a little bit tricky. I’ll take that on when inspiration hits me!
I joined Live Heroes because they have really cool products, like swimsuits, beanies and all over shirts and hoodies! This makes me think differently about designs and I even made a couple of patterns, which is very untypical for me! They are based in Poland and offer worldwide shipping.
